RealTime Score

In order to learn, it’s well accepted in academic circles that it is vital to give the student a means by which they can measure their own progress. RealTime Score rates the user’s efforts at learning the software (and thereby the Windows interface and its quirks) by inviting them to turn off particular Help topics that they already know. Each time a help topic is hidden, their score rises.

There are 8 ‘rankings’ and grade bands, starting at ‘D’ for an absolute ‘Beginner’, and rising through ‘Novice’, ‘Competent’, ‘Skilled’, ‘Professional’, ‘Expert’, ‘Master’ and finally ‘Grand Master’ (an A+) for complete mastery.

As well as grades and ranks, the user’s activity in Data Manager is timed. In this way progress can be compared with family, friend(s), or colleague(s), making the learning process challenging, inspiring and FUN!

If you feel like you need a refresher ‘course’, no problem : Just reset the score to zero with a simple menu-choice, and you can start from the beginning, and try and beat your previous score.
